Diving for Pearls

How cool is this? I decided to wear WetnWild's Diving for Pearls. A beautiful teal color. Then I remembered that I had a set of Honora pearls that were exactly the same color. They match perfectly.
This polish went on nice and easy and only took two coats.

China Glaze "ThataWay"

I'm pretty obsessed with orange and coral polishes this summer. I've been rockin Sally Hanson's 9021 Orange on my toes. I just love the way they "twinkle" {yes, I know..Twinkle Toes} LOL.
Anyway, my latest orange is China Glaze 'Thataway". I love the formula and it covers in two coats.

I heard something interesting in Sally's the other day. Two nail professionals were talking and they were saying how China Glaze was a much better nail polish then Orly or OPI. What do you girls think? Personally, I agree.

Have a great week-end!

Look at these Beauties!

We went to our local flea market today and look what I found! These little beauties were only $2.00 a bottle. I only bought five, because I never heard of the brand so I don't know how good they are, But there were tons of colors available, After I swatch them I'll let you all know how they are. The brand is YB Color, have any of you heard of this company?
The bottles are very attractive , with a clear stone on the top of each one.
The picture doesn't do this one justice, it's called Sapphire and is a beautiful blue with silver undertones.
This one is called Sheer Lilac and is a duo-chrome of lilac and silver.
This pearly, pink beautie is named Salsa, very sexy.
I love this pink glitter it's called Pinky Moon, a pretty pink glitter with stars and moons.

This gorgeous gold glitter is called Fireworks, it's a fine gold glitter with chunks of red, gold and blue larger glitter.

I should have swatches for you guys later this week, I just have to get through my Read-a-thon first.

Hugs to all!

Beverly Hills and Ice Queen!

Hello Lovely Ladies, yesterday I took a ride to my local Walgreens looking for the Sinful Colors Beverly Hills collection and I found it. Unfortunately, the only color I was impressed by was the color "Beverly Hills", a light, creamy lilac shade. And I love the little flower ring that comes with each bottle, so cute.

Most of the other colors I already have or have colors very similar. I also picked up a bottle of Sally Hansen's Ice Queen, a fine silver glitter with blue and pink glitter chunks and a bottle of Sinful Colors, Ciao Bella. This is a deep, Royal blue with a little bit of shimmer.

I put Ice Queen over a swatch of Ciao Bella and over a deep red nail polish and it looked fabulous. However, when I put it over my Beverly Hills mani, I was not happy with the results. But it's a fun look for a hot summer day. That's what I love about nail polishes, you get to play and try different looks.

Have a great day ladies,
HUGS!

Favorite summer Polish!

Hello Lovely Ladies, I just wanted to share my favorite nail polish for the summer. Yes, it's Essie's Turquoise and Caicos. I just love this color. It's such a cool and soothing color to me and it adds that POP of color especially when wearing a white outfit.

I wear a lot of silver and turquoise jewelry and this polish is a perfect match.

In the second photo I added LASpalsh's Golden Seahorse to my ring finger.

Well, I'm off to do my Saturday errands, hope you all have a fabulous week-end.
HUGS!!!!

Morticia's Nails

I love this set and it's perfect for the Fourth of July. .

Bebe Neuwirth, two-time Tony Award winner and star of Broadway's "The Addams Family," has selected and named these spookily fun colors. The set's sale helps raise money for the Actors Fund.

The deep blue polish is called Midnight Tango, the crisp white shade is called Bone Chilling and the beautiful, deep red is called Blood Curdling.

I also picked up some nail polishes while I was in NJ this past week-end. Golden Seahorse is this beautiful, aqua blue polish that has very fine gold glitter and is made by LASplash.

and I finally got my hands on WetnWild's Mermaid Cove polishes. The pretty blue- green shade is Diving for Pearls, the deep purple is Sea Witch and the mauvy pink is Sea of Dreams.

"Make Mine Mango"

This is the manicure that I wore to New Jersey this week-end. Revlon's "Make Mine Mango". It is such a pretty coral color. On my ring finger I topped it off with a coat of Finger Paints " Outta Sight Orange.
I picked up some polishes while I was in Jersey, I'll be posting them along with Essie's "Morticia's Nails collection later today or tomorrow, so come back soon.
HUGS!!!

Sally Hansen "Strike a Pose"

I know that these pictures "suck" but I just couldn't get a good picture. But I am so excited about this Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in 'Strike a Pose". It is an ivory color with extreme duo-chrome. I put one coat over Sinful Colors "Seaweed" and it looks great. The duo-chrome is incredible especially in sunlight.
I probably would never wear it on it's own, but the possibilities of using it over other colors , is endless. I can't wait to play.
So go to your local drugstore and get a bottle, you won't be sorry.

Hugs!

OPI Dupes.

Do these colors look familiar? I found these in my local Rite-Aid. They are from the Sinful Colors Adventure Island collection. and they are exact dupes for OPI Pirates of the Caribbean.

From left to right is Seaweed {which is what is on my nails} and is exactly like Stranger Tides. Next is Star Fish, a dupe for Sparrow Me the Drama. Then there is Open Seas a dupe for the famous Mermaid's Tears and the last one is Verbena which is just like Planks a Lot.

I paid $1.79 for each bottle so I got all for colors four less then it would cost for a bottle of OPI. Another plus is that they wear so much better. I have the Pirates of the Caribbean collection and when I wore it , it chipped after two days. I've been wearing Seaweed for four days and its as perfect as day one. The application is great and it covers completely in two coats.

There are a few other colors in the collection including a beautiful pink called Beautiful Girl. So check them out, you won't be disappointed.

HUGS!

Magenta and camera problems

I guess I'm a little late, but I finally got my Wet n Wild Bucket from CVS. I'm sure you all know about it already, it has 7 nail polishes, white nail paint and decals and a nail file for $9.99.

Anyway I did a manicure using "How I met your Magenta". Unfortunately it is coming across more pink then magenta. My camera is not the best.

As a matter of fact I am very "pissed" at my camera right now. I was deleting some pictures and all of a sudden a message came up saying "Delete all Files from Memory". It give me a choice of yes or cancel, so I immediately hit cancel.
But it deleted all the pictures from my SD card and my memory anyway. I lost tons of vacation pictures from Key West and Vegas. THAT SUCKS!

Sorry....just had to vent. Have a great week-end ladies. HUGS!

Vampire Fragrance

I just bought Body Fantasies new fragrance, "Vampire", and I love it.
This is a very sexy, provocative scent. It has clementine and plum flower, Wisteria, violet and a hint of chocolate. Also sandalwood, amber and musk which adds to the sexiness.

I bought a sample bottle {which looks like a vial of blood} at CVS for $4.99. The full size bottle sells for $14.99 and is 1oz. It's a great fragrance, let me know if any of you have tried it.

Sephora's Safari Luxe

Well, I'm finally getting around to posting my Las Vegas nail polish haul. First of all I bought these cute little mini's from Sephora OPI. The colors are: "Don't Feed the Hand Models"which is a light Latte color. The next is "Caught with My Khakis Down"r and this is a nice Khaki green. Then there is a muted orange color called "Yes Your Lioness"and finally a frosted purple called "I Don't Bite".

Next I bought four Ulta polishes, they were buy 2 get 2 free. The first is "Femme Fatale" , a deep, frosted burgundy color. The next is "Grape Escape"which is more mauve then grape colored. Then we have "Pink Marble" a frosted pink, {love this one}. And then a beautiful rich, frosted green color called "Jade".

Then I always buy an Essie polish wherever I travel. While in Key West this year I bought "Turquoise & Caicos" and in Vega I bought "Wicked" which I thought was appropriate LOL. However Wicked and Femme Fatale are very similar, but that's fine. I love them all.

Calypso

This is Calypso by Chameleon. It's a great duo chrome, unfortunately it doesn't photograph well. In natural light it is a very pretty frosted Lilac color and in artificial light it comes across as a frosted purplish gray. I also have a pink version of the Chameleon polish which I like a lot better and will be showing you soon. The application is pretty smooth but it chips easily even with a top coat. I applied a base coat, two coats of color and a top coat.

Favorite Drugstore Nail Polish

Right now I think my favorite drugstore brand nail polish would have to be NYC. So far I've found that the application is nice and the polish last around 5 to 7 days without chipping.

Since I grew up only 15 miles from New York City, I can really relate to their latest collection which is named after places in the City. Like, Radio City Rose, Chinatown. Broadway, Central Park, Bryant Park, East Village, West Village, Times Square, 5th Ave. and Madison Ave, to name a few.

The polish in the picture is Lincoln square Lavender which is a pretty pinkish lavender that seems to go with almost anything I wear. LOVE IT.

Nail Art

This is my first attempt at using the Konad nail stamping system. It was really very easy and a lot of fun to use. For the base color I used "Tickled Pink' by Wet n Wild. For the design I used Broadway by NYC and the plate I used was M51. Topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite.

Just Getting Stated

Hello all you beautiful ladies. This is my first post on this blog. I have a book blog and a craft blog but lately I have been bitten by the nail polish bug. I've watched every nail polish video on YouTube and I've slowly been adding new nail blogs to my list.
So please bear with me because my pictures aren't that great yet, but I'm trying.
This combo is Sally Hansens Xtreme wear in Marine Scene. Then I just sponged on some Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitter just on the tips. Topped off with Seche Vite.
Have a great day.
